Fascinating Feng Shui Facts

I've been reading about Feng Shui and I find it fascinating! Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art of understanding the relationship between the energy of the universe and the human being's place in the universe. According to Feng Shui, we live under the influence of two powerful fields of energy: the power below (earth) and the immeasurable power above (universe).

I guess everyone is mostly familiar with the Feng Shui practice of placing furniture in the home and office in order to allow the energy to flow smoothly within the space. There are many rules to follow in order to accomplish this.

For instance, you wouldn't want the front door to line up with the back door. In this case, all of the energy will flow right through the house and not have the opportunity to slow down to benefit the people inside.

One remedy for this is to hang a windchime inside the front door. A windchime will disperse the chi , or energy, so that it slows down.

A water fountain will also stimulate the chi in the house if you feel the energy needs to be raised.

Crystals are hung by red ribbons or cords in front of windows to prevent chi from escaping through these openings.

I'll have more in future blogs because I'm still learning about Fascinating Feng Shui!
